Thursdays 12:00 City Hall Steps (Polk Street)
Gather in Community to Ground and Center
You are cordially invited to join with other engaged citizens in a public practice of presence through an intentional 20 minutes of silent contemplation on the steps of City Hall.
Thursdays at noon
While this gathering was convened by Buddhists, it is open to people of all faiths and of none. Everyone who wants to cultivate peace through silent presence is welcome!
We dedicate the merit of our practice as we individually see fit, with the group intention of bringing peace into the world.
We sit, stand, walk or roll silently for 20 minutes to center ourselves. We do this as a way to call others in to a centered way of being in the world. You may bring your own intentions into the space and practice in silence as you wish. We recommend a sun hat, and if you like, a chair or cushion for comfort.
The environment of City Hall is full of activity and creates an opportunity to practice meeting life as it is, not how we wish it to be.
Join in to practice silent contemplation/meditation as you desire.
We encourage others to duplicate this public practice elsewhere if San Francisco City Hall is not a viable location for you.

The ICE murder of Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old VA nurse!
The ICE murder of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother of three.
The ICE murder, by an off-duty agent, of Keith Porter, a 43-year-old father of two.
The death of Carlos Roberto Montoya, 52-year-old father and grandfather, who was killed fleeing an ICE raid in Monrovia CA.
These are just the latest in a long line of offenses. No more! There have already been too many deaths and atrocities. Let's let our community (and the local government) know we stand for love, not hate!
